Motorola Droid makes its debut - WSJ.com

Motorola Inc. and Verizon Wireless on Wednesday unveiled the Droid smart phone, which the companies plan to aggressively push as a challenger to Apple Inc.'s iPhone.

The Droid, which will go on sale for $199 starting Nov. 6, is the first device using Google Inc.'s Android software to run on Verizon Wireless' network.
