Performance data for Ohio hospitals will go live on the Department of Health Web site starting Friday.

A 2006 state law set the Jan. 1 deadline for public reporting of the data to help patients learn how well hospitals follow scientifically backed recommendations for care, such as giving aspirin to patients suspected of having a heart attack.
